Grit tape -Anti Skid type of laminate????

Have you ever heard of such a thing? One of my existing customers has asked about a laminate that is gritty? They tell me they have seen it used with graphics on skateboards. That's not what this project is but they want something that is similar to Grit tape used on stair treads. I told them i've never seen anything quite like that. I know floor graphic lam is embossed but it's not gritty.

Any ideas?

That's what they are wanting but it would be somewhat transparent to see the graphics through it.

A thick matte laminate might be a good choice.

Convex has a laminate called stuble (I think) it has a textured surface and you can see through it.

3M 3647 will fit the bill I believe. It is the most heavily textured slip resistant product I know of.

Grip* tape is what you'd normally call it if that helps any.
