Hacking HP Printers?

Interesting read. I can't imagine this would apply to large format printers... but oddly I am intrigued why in the world they wouldn't authenticate any firmware updates?

Luckily, my firewall prevents any intrusion to said printer. It would have to be in a file printed locally. Printing of external files (without ripping on our end) would likely never happen. Almost assuredly not happen now that I've read this.
