Had a visitor at the house yesterday...

We had a visitor at the house yesterday, and when he came back this morning, I figured I have been adopted...

I have always loved animals, and tried raising baby squirrels before, with no luck, so when this little guy showed up, and seemed to be at home, I decided to try to make him at home. We gave him some pecans, water, and set him up with a small bed. Tomorrow I think we are going to make a elevated shelf with a bed.

We are stuck with a rare, fat, flightless bird that only comes out at night. How exciting.

When you make him a bed, be sure and make a custom carved head board!

Please post more pics of him, he's cute! We had an adult squirrel we named Chip. He had a short tail, so easy to identify. We enjoyed his visits for a few years, not sure how long squirrels live. I know they are rodents, but we enjoyed his visits while they lasted. Have fun with that one!

he is so cute!!! my family has raised a ton of orphan squirrels. you are lucky as he is eating solid food other wise, a formula for kittens or puppies works. make sure he has something to chew on. a bone like a dog would use works. have fun with him as they love to cuddle!

Nor much to tell. He showed up at the house on Saturday and Sunday, and Sunday afternoon I laid him on a dog bed and blanket that I took out for him. He laid across it and then snuggled down in the blanket. He stayed there all night and I checked on him that Monday morning. When I checked back later that morning, he had gone. I've been keeping an eye out for him ever since, but I haven't seen him. I hope his mom found him and not one of the neighborhood cats.
