Being a grandpa is more fun than working
I got an early start with my father's day celebrations today. On Sunday, it will be the kids and the grandsons, but today I sat down with my old boss, Alan, from 20+ years ago to chat and have a beer. Al lost his son to suicide twenty eight years ago, and I lost my dad three years ago.
Since dad died, I began sending a father's day card to Al in the mail each year. Today, I hand-delivered his card and took the time to visit.
I'm so glad I did.
