hardware to hang heavy, double sided banners nice and straight?

Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone's seen anything that can do the following:
- tear down to 3' lengths or so to make it fit in a packing tube so the client can fly or easily travel with it.
- lock together on site so make very long dowel and/or banner hanging hardware that is very rigid
- allow for hanging with only two wires/ropes from either end with no sagging... 12'... 14'.. 20'... ??

It could be a hollow pipe or extrusion that can slide through a banner pole pocket, or maybe one of those poster hanging doo-dads that clip onto the edge of a banner?
