Hey guys, hope you're going well.
I'm writing here today since we're getting tired of our hp latex, there's no way we can keep it printing the same colors more than 1 month.
We have made lot of profiles, from the rip (ONYX) and from the printer's onboard profile creator. We know how to make them and when we do it, those are ok (when we make them on the rip it matches pantone better, but orange looks red, when we make them from the printer's profile creator, pantones are not matched but orange looks like orange, we don't know why this happens but that doesn't really matters if the printer keeps printing the same color).
The problem appears when we change some part on the printer. When any ink cartridge gets empty and we replace them, colors are not the same, we try to calibrate the profile, but we can't get the same colors as when we made the profile. Same happens when we change a printhead, we calibrate the profile so it can print the same color as before, but we can't get it... sometimes grays change to greenish grays, sometimes grays keep the same but orange changes to red...
We don't know what we're doing wrong or what can be wrong in the printer, but it's really annoying us. When a new profile is made, we calibrate it everytime we change the media roll, and colors also keep changing. When we change cartridges or printheads, that's supposed to be solved with a calibration, but on our printer, it doesn't
Now the problem is worse as we received new customers that outsource printing work with us, as they want the same color everytime.
If someone has any advice or knows everything that could be of help to us, we appreciate it.
