HDU Coatings

Building a sign which requires HDU. Approx, 4' x 8'. one sided. I was wondering if someone could point me towards a supplier that has coating materials for HDUl. I have noticed as I look at monuments and some wall mounted signage made out of HDU that they are coated with a very durable, almost plastic looking,feeling
coating. Thanks

Stuff is called hard coat. http://precisionboard.com/products/texture-coating/

Any slower setting urethane resin will work too.

or use 30b or denser and forget the hard coat.

Thanks for your responses. I will check into these. The coating that I have seen does not have a texture to it but is almost a smooth finish
but very durable.

Are you sure it's a hard coat and not just primed and painted really well? I would say for the most part people aren't hard coating HDU. EPS foam usually is. Are you looking for something for over or under the paint?

Coastal's PB hardcoat flows out like glass.
