Duna used to send you a fairly generous sample pack with pieces approx 14" X 22" of the various pounds they offer..they used to also load their suppliers up with boxes and boxes of these samples so it might be worth a shot to give them a call or if your local sign supply co. sells duna see what they have or what they can get for you to experiment with. they make a great product.
the only thing I would add would be dont cheap out on the lower pound sheets, you will save so much time in the finishing process investing in the higher pound material.
