Heating Issue with VP-540

Whenever I send something to print it always sits on "now heating" The temp never goes up or down. Does anybody know the cause of this??

Are you using VersaWorks ?

Could the settings in either the printer or the rip have changed to ZERO ?

The print temp is set to 40 degrees C and the dryer temp is set to 50 but the dryer temp just stays at 46 degrees and doesn't increase.

4 deg doesn't seem too much of a difference.
Did you try to raise the value and see if the temp goes up ?


Raise it at the control panel on the printer, but if using versaworks, the printer can be overridden by the software
