Hi,
My name is Tim and I have been running a So. Cal. sign shop since 1991 called Arts & Letters. Took over a veteran sign painter & stripers shop when he bailed outta CA. He had a Gerber 4b (remember those?), which i purchased from him. EVERYTHING used to be hand painted, then the 4b came in which i used primarily for cutting mask and vinyl secondary copy. Purchased a Summa T-610 24" Plotter and made Flexi my main design program in 1999 (i think...) run on an old Mac G3. Pretty much taught myself the computer by necessity. Thank God for Apples. Many years later, I offer Sign and Advertising design as my main line. I do custom paint and some pinstriping, along occasionally breaking my quills out for a dip in the One Shot. My website (VERY BASIC web builder crap) is simply a on-line portfolio. I haven't added any new stuff as I ran out of space a while back. Looking to re-do it soon. Also looking forward to trying my hand at digital printing as a friend is going to sell me an older Roland CJ500 for a song. Life is good.
Oh yeah, last thing....I don't sell "stickers"- I make signs and marketing "devices"....I HATE the tag STICKERS. I send customers who want stickers to the swap meet.....Hope that didn't sound too elitist! Later, Tim
