Hello Friends, Help with Mutoh 1204

Hello Friends,
I used to be a member on this helpful site before but over the years have lost contacts.I wish to share whatever info and experience i would have gained by working in my personal sign biz for about 13 yrs now.

I have a Mutoh Valuejet 1204 for about five months now and having some problems. I tried contacting Signwarehouse via emails, but they take time to reply. I am therefore getting serious down time.

I am using oracal print profile recommended by signwarehouse (where i bought the machine) , and using orajet print media. When my print head is down i get streaks so i print with the head up all the time. Of course my prints lack the details. Now i am faced with discoloration in pic (see attachment), and now i am facing a new problem when i send prints. It appears like my head is dragging (see pic). Any help will be helpful at this time.

the 'new problem' photo (dragging head on vinyl) actually looks like bad data to head - check/reseat print head cables (with power OFF)

miscoloration is probably a case of improper profiles

Heater problem after just five months with minimal work ? I am getting concerned...

Check your heater settings. the profile they recommend is one of the better ons, pre 38 plat. 44. post 50, anytime you change this profile the heater settings turn off. Also you have to set the gradient to print enhanced.
