Hello,
I just joined this bulletin board. We are a screen printing company located in Winnipeg, Canada, established in 1977. Last year we finally bought some digital equipment. We have a Roland XC-540 pro, and a Seal Laminator. Next year we are planning to buy a flatbed UV, but I'm not sure what kind we will buy. Will be going to New Orleans to have a closer look.
This is a great forum. Over the last year or so, I've occasionally poked my nose in here, and found some great advise. Most recently, we had a problem with our (mostly trouble-free) Roland printer. One of the pinch-rollers was not being detected by the software. Our local Roland tech spent a few hours trying to figure it out, but couldn't get anywhere. Japan advised him to replace the wiring harness. Then I searched this forum and found an old post that suggested cleaning the harness with a cotton swab - and it worked just fine! Hee.
We have a lot of knowledge in screen printing (non-textile). Our Foreman has more years in the business than I have been alive. This is an area where I might be able to contribute the most knowledge to the forum, if anyone has relevant interest/posts. We have also been very successful selling online.
