Hello & Printer recommendations

Hi from North Devon, UK.

I have been in large format printing for 20 years and used many machines.

We re looking to upgrade our Mutoh Valuejet 1604.

We are looking at a Roland EJ640 or Oki M64s.

Can anyone using the above recommend them or should we be looking at any others.

Must be pigment and 1600 wide. No built in cutter.

Had bad experience in the past with Mimaki so not keen.

Of course Oki M64s.
1. Never ever buy a printer with an Epson printhead. EJ 640 has 2 of them, so it doubles the problem. Even Roland's latest printer VG series equipped with Ricoh printheads.
2. Oki is quite popular in the UK, I think you'd just contact Signmasters. If you plan to use original ink only stick with M64s, if not look at W64s.

No doubt, some people recommend you HP L360, then you will become a baker too. Constant battle with the oven.
