Production Graphics
I've been in the business for about 20 years. I've spent the last 10 (as of May) just designing for a company here in Myrtle Beach, SC. I still get out in the shop on occasion. Mostly in the graphics/ vinyl/ print dept. I also do various side jobs like designing logos and sign work for friends.
Recently, i've taken up foam work and LOVE it. My appreciation for carved foam actually stems from making and fixing surfboards. I'm hoping to up the scale of my foam work as time goes on. Here's a couple of pics of my current project for the daycare my kids go to.
I still need to make the butterfly. I saved that for last... ;-)
Here are a few pics of signs i designed at my regular job. This is a small percentage of the 10 years of jobs i worked on. I decided to stick with the "freedom of design" projects for here. Unfortunately, these types of jobs have been too infrequent of late.
(i hope you guys don't mind me posting a bunch of pics, i'm a newbie to this forum and haven't educated myself on the particular etiquette.)
I fudged the "Marina Bay" pic because all i have is an install pic and the stacked stone base was to be installed by others. The base i put in is from the proposal drawing.
I also like to play around in photoshop purely for the fun of it and to occasionally mess with my friends on social networking sites. I've been doing alot with my daughters lately. Here are a few.
Anyway... this has turned out to be quite a bit more of an introduction than i originally intended... HA!
I look forward to connecting and sharing with other like minded sign professionals. My wife gets tired of me babbling about this kind of stuff and i only have a few friends that know what i'm talking about or reciprocate in a sign related conversation. I will also be seeking out new info as i venture into new areas and creative avenues. Likewise, i will gladly offer any expertise, options, ideas, etc....
Have a good one folks!
