It's just a plotter and not a printer plotter?
Generally when you power a plotter on it will give you error codes if it has hardware problems.
Have you downloaded the user manual? Use the test cut that is a part of the plotters firmware, don't need a computer at all for that. If it passes that it your computer/driver issue.
