Help! Distance Adjust Falcon 38

So After i did a Step adjustment on my tired old printer to get rid of some banding. My prints are coming out about 96% of the intended length.
So i am trying to do a distance adjust through the functions menu.

x-distance is 1000
So i set the real distance to 0960
but i am not able to confirm the change.

does anyone know how this is done?
