Help editing logo

I have this logo that im trying to get to look like the one in the picture on the left. Ive tried a couple different ways but havent been able to achieve that look. Does anyone know how to get it to look close to the picture on the left?

It's better to have two hands than one glove.
Why would anyone what to make the right image look anything like the left?

Other than perhaps as an entry to a competition to render a poor logo into a completely incomprehensible logo.
