help new printer

I just purchased a mutoh 1204 48" and i am having problems with getting color correct. RED seems to be the hardest it is either too dark or orange. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Yeah, I had that problem too . . . Until I started using Roland Colour Choice which came with my Roland.

I don't know what to tell you with Flexi and your Mutoh !

Did it come with a rip program ?

yes and i am new to digital it is driving me crazy.

The only really good spot red I get on mine is 100% Magenta and Yellow and 0,0 Black and Cyan..............

If you are using Flexi 8 and running on the 1204 VJ Try using either the Mutoh One in All preset or the Oracal 3651 Preset. I prefer the Mutoh All in One profile, much more.

Also you need to check that if you are trying to print vector images, then you need to make sure to set your Vector Settings correctly.

Open Rip & Print
Go to the Advance tab
make sure you have your profile preset
Click on Color Settings
Click the rendering intent tab
Change Vector, Text & Gradients, to NO COLOR CORRECTION
leave everything else alone and give it a try.
