Help Roland Printer Leaving Line On Print

My printer is just leaving random marks all over the prints
Anyone Know why??

Sorry, apparently I need more coffee this morning. Missed the title which clearly stated you had a Roland.

If it's happening with every file, it's likely a data cable. Can you try swapping out your cat5 cable between printer and router/computer? If that doesn't change anything it will likely point to a cable inside the printer. I don't have much experience in that respect so hopefully someone else can provide some insight.

That's likely the main carriage cable (in the igus chain) getting ready to go bad. Since it's in the same geographic position, it's likely a short inside the cable as it flexes in that one spot. A main cable replacement is not a technically hard project, but it does require a lot of disassembly and reassembly.

Get a service manual. This repair will be covered in it.

My vs540 just did this. I had to replace the data cable insude the machine (long one that runs with the pribt carriage). Roland said small cracks form in the cable after all the back and forth as the cable ages....causes data glitches like that. Mine always happened about 6" from the base and it was always cyan.
