Help to get the print right

Got a logo from a customer today with it came a sample of their logo wich another company has printed for them. Loaded the file into versaworks and did a testprint but the colors do not match. The blue turned out purple.

I suspect that it has something to do with the file having a transparent fill. The bottom color is blue and on top there is a transparent gradient fill with white. Do i have to make a gradientfill with the correct 100% fill or do i just do something completely wrong?

I would first try saving it from photoshop as a RGB jpg

I would first try saving it from photoshop as a RGB jpg

jpg is lossy and will degrade the colours. Use Tif/Tiff with LZW compression. That always works for me when trying to get a customer's colour more accurately printed.
