Help with copy and paste in Adobe...

ok, in either illustrator or photoshop cs3, how do you paste multiple copies of a layer or object? similar to a step and repeat, etc and so on, where you can set the number of copies, rows, spacing, etc?

im working on a vehicle wrap and i ahve seen some guys on here that have done that with thier logo to make a pattern in the background.

what you can try in ps is define a pattern place your image select it then goto edit then define pattern then you open yur image an select your are you want to fill then apply fill then scroll down to see the pattern that you made. hope that helped
