Question Help with head missing channel

I had error E085 after about 10 minutes of printing . Every time I tried again I will get same error at about same percentage of print. It means abnormal condition of head driver. Error suggested it could be cables, head or main board. After I have reinserted cables I would either get error right away when I do test print or it would print long magenta stripe across test print. It was one magenta channel that would print long stripe. Rest of colors were ok. So I decided to buy new head and cables. After I have installed new head and cables, I have tried test print and same magenta channel is completely missing. No stripe just nothing coming out of magenta channel. No errors. I have checked all the fuses and transistors on main board, but everything seems ok. What do you guys think what could be the issue?

Normally when a single channel doesn't fire it's almost always an ink flow issue but since you received the 085 error, it could be electrical. The 085 error is a head heat error. The head is heating up and it's usually because there is a short in the circuit heating it up. The machine tries to protect itself by giving the error and locking you out. At this point I would do a damper swap. Simply swap the damper positions with one next to it. This will make a different color print through that channel. Run a cleaning to pull ink through, and then print a nozzle check. If the new color prints in the bad channel, it's more likely an ink flow issue (bad damper, o-ring, or air getting in the system) with the magenta. If it doesn't print and the magenta is able to print in the other channel, it's more likely electrical (head, cables, main board).

Thanks, I was able to use dx4 head cap top to pull a little ink from both magenta channels. I have sent motherboard and carriage board to Brooks Circuit Specialists. lets see what happens...
