Help with paper patterns

I currently work with a CNC router and Adobe Illustrator. Everytime I am required to cut out letters to be stud mounted I have to manually put dots in every letter to be drilled by the CNC. Is there a way to automate this process? Its so tedious. I also use Aspire to program the CNC files.
