Any idea how much to charge for 10ft x 5ft x 3mm Aluminum composite with one side 3M brand print for exterior.
Probably about 50 sheets

In all seriousness, no clue. 3m makes so many different materials that range from .50/ft to 4/ft, acm costs are all over the place depending if you want paint on it, face stock thickness, then you have quantity breaks at that quantity.
Find a supplier, get a quote for 50 sheets. Also price 4 rolls of your preferred 3m, ij35c is fine for this, better options definitely exist, and settle on a laminate, I pair arlon 3420 satin with my 35c. Add all these materials together and multiply by 1.5-2.5. Then figure how long it'll take to print, laminate, trim, apply, and pack/deliver. Multiply the time by your shop rate, add in your materials, and roll with it!

Hopefully you put more effort into your estimating than you do in your posts.

Saying "3M brand print" is just about as vague and lazy as it gets.

Figure out whatever materials you're thinking of using, then multiply by your markup (2.5 here) then factor in all your overhead and labor etc.

Also, keep in mind even using 60" media you're not going to be covering full 5' panels.

Do you have a 63" printer, cutter, let alone laminator ?? If not, get a price farming them out and apply your markup.

I'd look into someone with a flatbed printing setup.

Hi all - thanks to the people that replied. I take in the factors laid out. I am not going the flatbed route. I am more keen on Ij180 3M with gloss laminate.
Due to the media width, I would need to put a seam along the length. I was more keen on per unit price. I have all my own equipment and work from home.

Cost of your materials x your markup.

Pretty straight forward.

However $500(ish) each is reasonable given your process. Your material cost should be in the $175 - $200 range for each panel.

Your price will be different that mine. As you said, you work out of your home where as I have my shop and employees to pay for.

I would use IJ40 with 3M8518 lam. You don't need to use IJ180 IMO.

I agree with the $500 neighborhood ^^^

I hope this isn't a quote for one of those emails you got from a conman - just checking LOL
