Help with these designs

Hi I know these can be made one by one but, I was wondering if anyone knows of a font or a technique or brush or something that could be used to speed up the process of making something like this faster and easier. It's the rope or chain design that is on the outside of the inner circles of this logo.

In Illustrator you'd make one of them .... make a pattern brush of it .... then apply that brush to a circle. You might have to fool around a bit with the sizes and weights of the circle and the original shape but it is fairly easy to achieve what you're after.

seems like you could make 1/4 of the circle, copy and X Y flip, weld the 4 pieces together.
