Here we go again.... RL won't connect to printer via ethernet anymore

I can ping my IP of the printer.
I can ping the IP of the printer from other computers.
I can see the address in my router.
No hardware or software has been installed since last use.

I've rebooted, hard restart, turned the printer off/on, prayed to the gods...
Next will be a sacrifice to Murphy.

Any tips? Ideas? I'm getting more grey hair as the day progresses.

Consider the possibility that another device has raken that iP

unolug printer then ping that ip

download advanced ip scanner

do a scan and sort by manufacturer

All my IP's are static. Nothing new has been added.
My network is more secure than the Harris presidency.

Try removing and re-adding the printer in the print manager. To avoid losing print jobs, you can set it as a file printer and then change it back to IP.

1. power of the computer, then the printer.
2. Reboot the printer first all the way up.
3. Then boot the computer
4. start RL

Really though, do you have no wifi on this network? Good on ya if that's the case.
My problems are asinine, like the owner's apple watch stealing the printer's ip, even when the ip address is assigned and outside the range of the DHCP. Thankfully, there is a switch sitting between the printer, pc, and network extender. If it's getting frustrating enough, I can unplug the extender and have no funny network interactions to ruin my day.

Most likley you have a device on your system that is using dhcp and took that number. I try to use static on everything, but sometimes it gets taken over by another device due to timing, P harris is the expert on that time thing.

so this doesn’t happen again set the router to assign a range different than your static ip’s
since statics are set make the router use a block of ip’s higher or lower so. No conflict

U travel all over and big all different types of routers to connect to our presses. It's always the same issues. I have brought routers from the cheapest to high $ I'm not a apple guy by no means. But the best of the routers was the apple air ports! Use to be 99.00 at any best buy and has a built in 120plug. Other then that buy a long cable! I have fought this on my epson sublimation printer. Never an issue with the cable unless the dog causes it! And half the time it just starts working again and you really don't know what corrected it!
