Hi, from Mesquite, Texas
Hello my name is James P. Lopez and I am not in the sign business and my primary reason for joining the forum was because I just purchase an Epson GS6000.

I am the GIS Coordinator for the City of Mesquite and I work with GIS (Geographical Information System) software (http://www.esri.com/.

We also have a HP 5000PS UV 60" and we added the GS6000 to plot outdoor maps.

I am currently researching solvent based media and trying to get basic information about solvent based plotting and also any information about my new plotter.

Welcome from Wisconsin...

We print plot maps for our county on a regular basis. I like using Sihl 200gm Solvent paper. On the Sihl site it's called "3686 TriSolv PrimeArt Paper 200". You can print nice sharp images on this paper and no need for lamination, unless it's going outside for an extended time. I've been buying this through Grimco, looks like they have 3 locations in TX.
