Hi guys and gals... Not sure If I'm in the right place to post a question on this topic, but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough..

..I just purchased a new head for my Mimaki CJV 150-130 and after install, realized I had to also replace the slider board too. I'm need to upgrade the firmware before I replace the board. I'm trying this in Download mode as I can't get past the errors- System Halt (1) 1b4:pCB SLDRH -F2 ... I downloaded the updater tool but it looks like it's drivers for Rasturelink. Is Rasturelink considered the FW for this machine?.....I just don't see anything that says Firmware on the Mimaki site. Any help would be great. The only tech I know is gone for a while. Are there any techs out there I could pay to do this by team viewer or the like? Been down a month waiting on parts and I don't want to risk any more issues...Thanks in advance for any help..

Firmware is what resides in the printer's EPL board (basically the motherboard), RasterLink is the RIP software that lives on your PC.

The code you're getting is F(use) 2 on the slider board being blown. Bad heads can develop short-circuits and that fuse is to protect the slider. Nothing to do with firmware. If you replace the fuse, make sure it is the same type and amperage to avoid knocking out thousands of dollars more in other parts.
