Hi,
I just found signs101 today. Looks like a great community.
I started a small business in January, and I'm about to the pull the trigger on a Roland GX-24 CAMM 1. I need to make some basic lettering paint masks to begin with. Down the road, I intend to learn the art of airbrush painting - partly so I can customize my products, and partly because I want to give my kids, especially my 8 year old daughter, an opportunity develop their creativity. And airbrush painting just sounds fun.
I've been using Adobe Illustrator 8 for several years. Everything was fine until I bought a new font (Strumpf). It took me a while to figure out that version 8 doesn't support OpenType fonts. I was enjoying a trial version of CS3 up until a few days ago, and now I need to buy my own copy. The only decision left is MAC or PC.
I make a living working in a large IT department (think Dilbert). So I'm surround by PCs. I'm not too excited about Vista, but I've heard that Windows may be easier to use with the Roland than the latest MAC OS. I'm very interested to hear what people think about this. Thanks in advance!
