how do i seperate a psd file in flexi?

can someone help i'm trying to use a .psd file in flexi and i'm trying to figure out how to get the background layer gone. thanks for any help still learning.

I've never tried it but I'm doubtful that you will be able to edit the layers in Flexi. For that you need Photoshop.

i took out the background layer in paint shop but when i bring it into flexi it has a white background around it i've tried just making the background transparent that works, but it still has the big square i have to work around.

Flexi does not support transparency very well. You need to create a vector of the image, position it on top of the PSD image in Flexi, select both the vector and the image, and the execute a mask command to hide the background.
