Question How does everyone attach Acrylic to Stainless

Trying to make some 2 layer stainless steel license plates. I have tried super glue style adhesives, and two-part epoxy. Epoxy would flex and peel off like it wasnt even there. Super glue would stain the stainless and some of the plates popped off all lettering within a few days. I tried to remove said acrylic and the epoxy came off no problem. And the super glue some popped off with flexing of the plates, and some stayed on tight.

Is this gonna be some kinda showpiece or will it see regular street traffic ??

UHB tape? 3M and others make variations that should stick to stainless.

I would call 3M and ask what they recommend. Or if you don't want to use tape I would call Lord and ask if they have one that works.

Broken record here, but Lexel would work well if you give it time to fully cure.

If I’m understanding you correctly, look at orajel. They have a double sided adhesive vinyl in clear.
