How Long do we need to wait??

Hey Guys,

We are working on refacing an existing monument sign with new acrylic router cut letters 1/2" thick. We will most likely be using VHB tape and Silicon to apply. The Company will be resurfacing with stucko and new paint prior to the dimensional letter install. How long should we wait for the surface to be ready for installation of the letters?

Usually two to three days after painting is sufficient.

+1 on stud mounting that thick of a letter.

you dont need to stud mount 1/2" thick acrylic, silicone will suffice just fine.

Silicone would "suffice" for many installs, doesnt make it right. do it right and once and stud mount those with silicone on the studs.
