How long is it safe to leave heads of a SP540v manually capped/locked and soaking in solvent cleaner?

I cannot get printer into maintenence mode and a tech is probably a week out. Dont want to dry up my heads but dont want to ruin with all that damn solvent cleaner either. Advice PRETTY PLEASE!
