How much media do you print in a year on your machine?

Normally I print about 50-60k sq. ft. of graphics per year. Last week I ran 8,000 sq. ft. almost by myself. (I worked 20 hour days for a week straight). I think I ran my printer for 22 hrs./day last week. Thank god for latex! Needless to say, it was the week from hell.

I'm just curious, how much do you guys print in a year?

The last year was pretty descent. I'd say between the two printers we ran around 110k-120k sq. feet. That's including waste, non print area, etc... I'd like it to be a higher number though :Big Laugh.

It sounds good but that's only 4 rolls a week between two printers.

About 10 years ago we had an inquire that required 10000 sq ft of printed vinyl in 4 weeks and we didn't own a printer. We got the order, bought and installed a 48" Mutoh printer which ran 30sq ft/hr and got out 10000 sq ft of vinyl in 3 weeks, in spite of no support from the local distributor or Mutoh. We now have a 62" Falcon II and an HP L25500. Last November we got art late Friday that required 5000sq ft of wall vinyl to be printed and installed by Wed, installation 9pm to 7am. There are only 3 of us in the shop, we finished 4am Wed. We normally go thru 5-7 54" rolls of material a month.

Last year, we averaged 250K sq ft. For the past month, we're on pace to do over 350k sq ft. We've been running the printer 20 hours a day, 2-3 rolls printed per day, 7 days per week.

So you guys sell material and do printing? Doesn't that upset your clients at all?
