how much to bring this inca printer to life

When I have the time to scan the web, I often to to the globalgarage web site just by curiosity.

I saw this inca spider printer for a ridiculous price. I was wondering how much would be the printheads to replace and bring everything to life.

Unless a responder to this thread #1 was the original owner selling this unit,
#2 was psychic [ which I don't believe in].
#3 you know who still provides service and parts for this printer

I just wanted to know an average price of the printheads in this printer and what parts would maybe have to be replace/fix. If it cost less then 10k$ to repair it, it still maybe a good deal. I've saw those printers at a local shop here and the quality was great. I don't see why my question is that bad.

If the heads are shot you are looking at big money. I think those use custom galaxy printheads which are a couple of grand each - not 100% sure on exactly what the heads are though without doing some research. The 6 color version of the 320 has 24 heads which are replaced in 6 "modules" of 4 heads each. Regardless - if the heads need replacing you might end up having to put a huge amount into it in excess of 20k. Not to mention the costs involved in moving one of those - the entire gantry has to be removed by techs and crated for shipping. The 320 is close to 20 feet long and over 12 feet wide with the gantry installed. It also weighs a few tons. You would probably have to spend at least 5 grand just to move it somewhere.
