I'm 8 years in and still have the original. I think it was a few hundred bucks, but I wouldn't know what to do when people put me on hold if I couldn't spin my ring.

Hhhmmm ... This post caught my eye - today is my 13th anniversary - never lost my ring, (hubby neither), although my hubby DID wear is original wedding band out - it broke until it was unrepairable (cheap 1st ring). So I got him a BEEFY one ... lol.
