How to delete messages?

Fred my mail box is full, and says I need to delete some messages, when I select the BOX on the right of the message, the message gets highlighted in yellow, however there is NO way to delete the message(s).

I think in the past after selecting the box on the right, there was a DELETE prompt at the TOP, and if you selected it the messages would be deleted.

I have NO DELETE function showing up.

How do you delete messages?

after you select them, at the bottom there is a dropdown - it says 'selected messages' - change it to delete

For the life of me I couldn't figured it out, that worked!!!
