Hi, Paul here from down under. I am very new to the sign business and actually not quite in business yet. I am refurbishing a Roland SC 500 I got really cheap. I have new printheads (FJ 50) but am anxious about folding the head cable as I think they quite delicate. The head carriage is a very tight fit that requires the cable to do some very sharp folds, any advice please?

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
It's called an FFC or Flat Flexible Cable. Fold away with no worries. Just make sure it is plugged in correctly and the leads are not damaged.
