how to import a illustrator doc into word?

I created menues for a restaurant that opened up, and i designed it in illustrator. I need to send the files to a website designer that needs it in a word document. I copied and pasted, but it is copying backwards. It's weird. This web designer doesnt even need the correct fonts, he just needs the text. Anyone know how to do this?

How are you copying it? Are you selecting the text with the text tool or just selecting it all with the pointer?

And what versions of the programs?

I have to say that i did not spend a whole lot of time trying to figure it out. I was getting ready to leave work. I only tried selecting with the pointer.

Try exporting the Illustrator files as Enhanced Meta Files and it will work fine.

print it, scan it in with text reading.

save as pdf then open in acrabat and save as .doc

select it with the text tool and copy it - will lose the formatting, but the text should be there okay.
