After I fired a painter we had here, our toilet paper buying slowed way down. I always had a feeling that he was taking it because there is no other way we could go through so much. I caught him putting a 5 gallon jug of water in his truck one day, he was taking them home and then bringing back the empties. The amount of drinking water we go through now also is much less so he was probably still doing it even after I got on him for doing it but being more careful about getting caught.Has anyone considered missing tools might not really be missing but stolen instead?
I'm always fascinated by the stories of theft from my business owner friends. My sister has fired more people than I can count for theft at her daycare over the last 17 years, including her #1 employee and good friend.
Just a thought..
