How to ????

My better half had a Photo of the 3 of her children...that photo was made from lots and lots of other small pictures,,,well she lost it a wile back ,,she said her grandfather made this on his pc.. anyone know of a filter or the process this was possibly done in. I would like to remake it for her as it meant allot to her. Thanks

google photomosaic, I think there's a plugin for Photoshop that will do it.

from what she said each little photo was different and was like the pixels of the main photo.
