HP 315 Magenta fading as it prints

I'm not sure what's going on. It appears to be something with magenta. I'm trying to print some 3" circles today for a job and looks like this...
HP 315, Generic Self Adhesive 10pass - this what I typically use and haven't had issues like this. Any ideas?

I'm stumped because everything looks OK. I ran a printhead alignment and a color optimization.

You replace the printhead.

Actually I recommend to replace both at the same time.

What does the printhead plot look like? It is most likely only one head that down. And at the beginning it always compensates that with more strikes.

I changed both the magenta/yellow heads and it prints beautifully!

I talked to Geneva today and she said there's a screen that shows which printheads are misfiring. She didn't recall how to get to it as she was busy but if anyone else knows, I would be interested!

I don't really know how to read the printhead plot but I think it's time to learn LOL
It shows how each ink is printing from each head, usually The LM/LC is what causes me problems - My LC wasn't printing at all last week which reminds me I need to get HP to give me a new one since it failed at under 700ML pumped and they will replace them if it is under 1000.

Before changing any heads you need to check run the FORCE DROPLET DETECTION, this tells you how many heads are clogged.

Once you run it, write down the numbers for each head and then run a cleaning on all heads and run the test again. This will tell you what's really going on with your heads.

To get to the test you need to get into the service menu, the bypass code is 3174

goto setting ->

service menu (enter code 3174) ->

scan axis menu ->

Force Droplet Detection _>

this eliminates changing both heads.
