HP 365 Latex Printer, print, laminate and contour cut

I have an HP 365 Latex printer, the printer prints fine but when I print with crop marks, then laminate and then contour cut, my new Roland Cutter GR2-640 does not want to read the crop marks. I am using Flexi sign Production manager Subscription which came with my printer. I like to design my graphics in Corel Draw, assign a contour cut and import it then into Flexi Production manager. With my old vinyl cutter Roland Camm-1 pro I had not problems to cut after the fact, he read the crop marks perfectly, but my new one (Roland Cutter GR2-640) does not at all.

Does anyone have the same problem and got it solved?

Or is there a different Rip software available?

You've got to be missing a step or something. I'd hit up whomever you purchased the Roland plotter from for help. I've got dozens and dozens of customers who print+laminate+cut all day, every day. Or call Roland support yourself....they can walk you through the process.

What happens if you don't laminate? Is the laminate you're using UV-protective? I've had issues in the past with Graphtec plotters not "seeing" marks through certain UV laminates. The easiest way to test is to try to cut an unlaminated print; if that works but laminated does not then it's likely that the sensor can't work properly through your laminate.

Easy fix: place a small Post-it over each mark. Make sure the adhesive edge will hit the laminator first so it doesn't wrinkle. Then laminate your print. Once it's out, take an X-acto and carefully cut around each Post-It and pull it off. Now your marks will be unlaminated, and the plotter will be able to use them properly.

i was having a similar issue with my mimaki 160, after lamination the laser would not read the marks, i started masking taping the marks and after lam i would cut out the masking tape, not very productive.
i figured the gloss from the lam was throwing off the laser so i started to put a towel over the laser to make it dark and that solved all my problems ever since.
hope this helps.
