Have the opportunity to purchase a HP printer, used. Anyone have knowledge of this machine. Or the compatability with Gerber software. It would be the first venture into digital printing. Ease of use?
slightly used, never used for prinitng only pen plotting. Asking around 2,999.00?

Thanks for any info.

It's a CAD-based plotter, not at all meant for graphics or signs. The medias are all coated, which raise the price, vinyls and banners don't really work well with the ink set, and the inks are water-based so durability is not much more than a month or so if it's not laminated. It's a good printer for posters and maps and things like that, but if you're trying to do decals and other signage, not a good use of your money. Definitely want to look into a solvent based machine or low cost thermal. Good luck!
