HP 5500ps Do I need to change the printheads from DYE to UV ink

I just got HP5500ps 42in plotter. I have Dye HP81 ink in the machine now and plan to change it to HP83 UV ink. Do I have to replace the printheads or can I just use the remainder that is left on the lines on a sheet of media paper? Thanks.

The changover is a whole kit that takes about 20 minutes to swap out once you've done it a few times. I have both inksets for my 5000 and do to a hard drive failure, I may be parting it out before I put it to sleep. Feel free ti IM me if you're interested.
