HP Designjet 800PS 42"

I have a friend offering me an HP 800PS for $500. The only post here I could find was from 2011. I've found some suppliers who say they can provide Eco Solvent ink systems for it. Is this an ok system to start with for printing outdoor decals (assuming lamination is used?). I've been doing vinyl jobs for years and have always farmed out the printing. It'd be nice to have something in house.

This printer is suited for technical, architectural drawings and renderings. It uses aqueous dye inks for the colors and pigment ink for the black. Its not made for outdoor prints! Even with lamination the prints will fade and fail quickly! No matter what anyone tells you, you cannot use eco solvent inks in this printer.

+1 It uses thermal jet technology. This type of printhead requires water based ink to function and cannot be upgraded to use solvent or eco-solvent.
