HP L25500 - Job Cancelled Message 63.05 (Can't print anything longer than about 4'

Hi All!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I've noticed from posts that others are having this problem too...
Error Code:

63.05 Job Canceled for lack of data received from the RIP. If problem persists, check configuration of RIP Computer...

We have done the above, going to reboot computer (again). And give it another whirl.

Wasting materials, going crazy. Seems HP's last firmware update for the HP L25500 is 7.0.0.4
Is that correct?

If anyone has an idea about what to do, please share.

Thanks so much!

Make sure the RIP computer isn't going to sleep. Disable all power save features on it.

Are you using Flexi or another RIP? Might be a network issue

Rip is Shiraz Signature. Sorry for delay in response. Been running like crazy!
We think it may have to do with computer timing out... Had it set to go into sleep mode after 10 minutes, then shut down at 15 minutes. Hopefully it was as simple as that. Checked cables, made sure that all works. Also, moved the cable that runs from PC to Printer to a higher position, not near the electrical cord to prevent any electrical disturbance. Looks like that was the last firmware update, so we are good there. Gonna give it another shot right now. Yikes, hope it works!

Thanks all for the ideas, mucho helpful!! Will let you know my findings. Wish me luck!

Success! Full print all the way through! We think the culprit was that it went into sleep mode.
Duh! Well, lots of wasted material, but I am so thankful, working now! Lesson learned.

Thank you again everyone!

Yay! Now on the other hand how come this just became a problem? I mean you have had that printer for awhile. Strange how it now goes to sleep.........on you all of a sudden. I think you might have a gnome problem! Little sucker sneaks in at night and changes the computer settings! I make sure my comp is always on and every power saving feature is turned off. I have had to many issues with the comp going to sleep. I'm glad it was a free fix.

I highly recommend direct wiring the printer to your PC also. It will solve a lot of network time out issues.

2CT, Thanks for your help, and I agree. Yes, we've had it wired direct to printer since we first installed in. The computer we use has no other function but to run the L25500.

Created,

Yay is right! Free fixes are always good! Yes, the settings got changed at some point. We have this little Grandkids (One of them calls herself "Neaky") who like to gravitate toward computers, know what I mean? They are not supposed to use the computers without asking and I keep an eye on what they do when on the computer. Sometimes the family comes into my shop without my knowing. I thought it would be a good idea to set the computer that runs the L25500 to time out after 10 minutes. Didn't know it would just shut my printer off.

Again, duh on my part! Anyhow, discovered that it was not a good idea! The gnome is me, just trying to stay ahead of the Neaky ones.
