HP Latex 365

I am reaching out to get feedback from owners of HP Latex 365 printers. How long you have had it, do you like the printer and have you had to do very much maintenance?

If you are thinking about buying a used L365, it's important to know the percentage of the SMK1 and SMK3 counters. That tells about how heavy the machine was used.

First ones are already 10 years old (360 is basically the same as 365). Not too many reasons to scrap it before it hits 500,000 ft2 and even after that you can usually keep running.

I have an 8 and a half year old 360 and a brand new 700. I would buy the 360 again if I could. Kind of bummed I bought the 700. I still prefer the 360.

We have a 360, we are a print shop so we don't use it as much as a sign shop. still we needed to call service 2 times since 2015. The service if still available it is a screaming deal in my mind, about $2500 and they will throw as many parts and time it takes to fix it. In the Nw they sent bell and Howell. I think they still sell the 365 new. Don't forget you need to get the rip. That is about 5k if you want to cut and print with onyx. maybe less with other vendors. Like others have said you should find out what the mileage is on the machine. Call Hp (not on a Friday night) and with the sn, find out if they will service it BEFORE you buy it. Otherwise buy something new.

It was our second machine and a good one to cut one's teeth. It became apparent that any issues were often due to our lack of experience, mindset or just being goofballs.

We certainly don't print as much as most here but we've had periods were it hammered out product all day for a few weeks without any issues worth mentioning.

It also depends upon what you need it for. We print a lot of posters, canvases, vinyl, etc. and it's pretty flexible. WE can even get away with some photography if it's being mounted and coated. But for fine art stuff, probably a stretch, so think Canon or Epson aqueous.
