Need Help Hp Latex 570 Printhead issue, random lines in/out of print.

I got this used L570 last October. It worked just fine for our canvas printings until recently.

It starts to show bleeding on black colour, then It shows random colour line or colour block in and out of the prints, even in printheads alignments and colour calibration.

What i did so far:
New MK-C printheads x2, old ones fired 8L.
New M-Y printheads x2, old ones fired 4L.
New LM-LC printheads x5, 4 were refused, one was sucessfully installed. old one fired 1.5L.
New Maintenance tank x1.
M, LM, LC inks are expired. new inks will come next week.

It reminded LM-LC printhead to be replaced last week after It stopped working. I had two backups, they were brand new, 2021-2022. so I tried to replace with those, but I got bleeding ink when it aligned the printheads, then failed. It showed error codes 0x080012 and 0x080010.

I thought my backup may be faulty, so I bought another 3 from different seller this Monday.
One LM-LC finally installed successful. However it will still print same random lines when i print printheads status report.

I guess I won't be that lucky to have 4 faulty printheads only. it must be something else.

The error message happened so far are:
  1. The troubleshooting process could not identity the failing part. Please contact support and provide the information appearing on the screen. Printhead LM-LC , Status: Reseat , Error code: 0x002002.
  2. Status: Replace Printhead LM-LC Error code: 0x080012.
Does anyone have similar problems? I got HP Z3200 to print my work now, but I have to spray varnish liquid to protect the print, which takes too much time.

I really appreciate any advice before I call the engineer, i run out the warranty.

Okay so first thing, if you start to see excessive bleeding in normal prints, it's OP PH you should replace. Optimizer keeps the bleeding from not happening.
You have cleaned the connector behind the printhead and in the carriage yes?

Next thing that is very likely to cause this, Trailing cable.
Open the window and reach up towards the top panel, under that you will have the trailing pack with ink tubes and cables. Lift that down (it's in a U shaped channel), open it a little bit and inspect the trailing cable (fat data cable) for any damage. If you can see the wires from inside inside, it's broken and it needs to be replaced.
2ET72-67020 Trailing Cable

If that seems okay the issue can be with the Flex cables (that connect the printhead and the PCA) or the carriage PCA.

Thanks, I will check it this weekend.
I managed to print out a few prints, it is fine for the first few ones, It happens to print out the random lines once it try to print with blue colours. then i try with none blue colours, it works well.

is it relative to temperature? the warehouse is 3.5 degree, quite cold here.

Well shit only +3.5°C? Yeeeeeeeeah.
Operating temperature is 15-30C and optimal is 20-25C.

Just this low temperature can bring you all sorts of issues. You need to heat that place up.

I need find a better warehouse with a enclosed printing room, the unit is 1400sqf, far too big to heat without a huge bill for me.

99% certian its trailing cable. What do you want to do? Parts or an engineer. Bristol inkjet ltd could possible help with either depending on where you are.

I replaced the expired ink, all new printers, The printer will still automatically cancel the printing then random lines / strips.

i only open the cover, there is no visible damage around cable connection. However paper jam did happen a few times, i found a small plastic part falling off, not sure what it is for. It definitely needs to be taken apart to look into it.

I connected Bristol inkjet ltd for a quote. thanks.

Yeah it does seem like trailing cable issue. I marked with red where you looked at the cable but you need to look at the spot I marked with green. You can open the window and lower down this cable pack. Then separate the data cable and check it out.
That small plastic is from the spectrophotometer window opener.

the random lines are gone, printer works fine now.
This is my first time to disassemble latex 570, quite different from designjet z3200.
Now i have two metal parts left, don't know where they should be.
and the beacon shows steady red light. do i need to reset anything to make it normal? there is no error message in the front panel, except a low ink-Y(0.28).
