Hey all. new to this forum but always have come here for help and see how active the community is so hopefully some have you know whats going on here. Recently after a printhead change or calibration i forget exactly what the circumstances were... wheni print greys the left most edge only on the last inch prints pink as if cyan is dropping out. it doesn't matter where the last inch of the grey is it happens wherever the printed are stops on the left. i will attach pics. Cyan cartridge is brand new and i know i have some nozzles out on my print heads but all seems like it should be running within spec. let me know if you have experienced this. ive run all the calibrations and tests.

How many ml are thru your print heads? Can you print out a Print Head Status Plot and post close up pictures of each of the heads?

To check the usage on the print head go to Menu > Supplies > Print Heads > Select The Print Head you wish to view > Scroll down to Estimated Ink Used(ml)

To Print a Print Head Status Plot go to Menu > Tools > Troubleshooting > 3 Dot Button in bottom Left > Select Print a Printhead Status Plot.

Based on the ink usage the heads should be OK but without seeing the print head status plot it is hard to say for sure. Are all of these the same width and is the discoloration visible in the print zone before it is cured?

yeah its pretty weird hopefully this helps. i can replace the cyan black print head i guess based off this. i think thats the one i changed that caused this to happen it might have been bad out of the box. any width its always the left inch that is discolored could be in the middle or all the way at the edge of the print. and discoloration is visible before curing in the printzone.

You have some problems going on... I would try to get a tech to check the machine... In case of any leaks or something.

Unless you just use it very little and the heads have dried, then it's fine.

The volume on the machine is pretty minimal because we primarily are a digital press shop and do some wide format but not a ton. We are out of warranty so i was trying to just do everything i could do myself before i called a tech in. would you first recommend replacing the cyan black printhead? Im not sure why there is cyan on the yellow in the status plot should yellow magenta also get changed?

Well you do need to do something about that cyan.

I think on yellow it's just for you to visually see it better. So it's there on purpose.
